Shipping/Receiving Coordinator, Toronto

Overview

This role will be responsible for arranging shipments, preparing shipping documentation, appropriate distribution of incoming inventory and other duties as assigned

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Arranging domestic and international shipments.
  • Evaluating the extent of required protective packaging for outgoing freight and preparing shipments to the requirements.
  • Preparing and affixing all appropriate documentation.
  • Receiving incoming freight and verifying the contents of shipments against paperwork.
  • Identifying and labelling freight to be put into inventory/moving incoming freight into active or reserve inventory
  • Organizing and maintaining work areas; shipping/receiving areas
  • Complying with company health & safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned, relevant to specific position

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • 2- 3 years’ experience in shipping/receiving preferred
  • Knowledge of A/V equipment, and industry preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift parcels weighing up to 32 kilograms (70 lbs.)
