As the CEO, William (Bill) Brown is responsible for the leadership of all facets of the business bringing over 25 years of experience in events, marketing and business service industries to FMAV. Prior to joining FMAV, Bill served as Chief Operating Officer at Maritz Canada, part of one of the world’s largest event management companies, where he implemented the processes, people, and client practices to create exceptional customer experiences and grow the company into one of Canada’s largest agencies. Bill began his career at Xerox where he held progressively senior sales, product management and leadership roles specializing in digital and high potential growth businesses.
He holds an MBA and Honours B.Sc. in Computer Science and Statistics from McMaster University. Bill is also a board member of Altruvest Charitable Services and has served as a business advisor at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto.
Nancy plays a vital role in the success of our organization overseeing finance, accounting, information systems and administration. Having joined us in 2001, Nancy, a chartered accountant, has seen FMAV through significant organic growth. She drives process optimization in business administration and our supporting systems, along with overseeing the financial integration of our acquired companies.
Not only does Nancy demonstrate tireless dedication to ensuring that everything ‘behind the scenes’ is working flawlessly, but she is also responsible for financial analysis and reporting for our board of directors and senior team members, which provides our business with insight that drives both strategy and day-to-day tactical solutions.
Peter is a passionate AV professional who still loves the business after 30 years. He believes in creating long-term relationships with clients by helping them succeed and becoming their event partner vs just being another supplier. He offers a wealth of practical knowledge on event technology and how to use it effectively for live events.
Peter’s strong leadership skills and high standards of excellence have served him well in progressively senior roles throughout his career. Combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and solid business acumen, he brings a proven track record with FMAV to help us grow.
Always keen to give back, Peter has contributed to the growth of the event industry in Canada, launching the Alberta Mediaco offices with Neil MacNeil in 2000 and has been actively involved and volunteered with numerous industry associations, at both the national and local board levels. He is a frequent guest speaker at industry conferences and for event management programs, helping educate the next generation of planners with AV101 sessions on event technology and technical production.
Sonya joined PSAV in January of 2018, starting at the 2018 GLM. Sonya partners with the Canadian leadership team to provide strategic HR direction for the Canadian Business.
Holding the SPHR designation, Sonya brings over 20 years of Human Resources expertise in all facets of Human Resources including Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Performance Management, Training, and Health and Safety to the organization.
Joining FMAV in 2016, Alissa brings expertise in digital marketing, event planning, online education, and project management. Her passion for event technology combined with a talent for brand strategy and industry influence makes her a thought leader in the event industry.
Alissa leads her team to create innovative, interactive content for our programs; and develop new go-to-market solutions that differentiate FMAV from our competition.
A champion for industry education, holds multiple event industry certifications including Certification in Meeting Management and Certified Event Designer. She has been an Instructor in the Event Management Certificate program at Mount Royal University and a certified instructor on the Event Canvas methodology.
Working in various markets across Canada, Neil brings over 25 years of event production and management experience to FMAV. With a passion for technology that intersects with a natural ability for client service, he has contributed to a history of successful events for clients such as The Salvation Army International Congress, The Environmental Services Association of Alberta, The Pipeline Contractors Association of Canada, The Juno Awards and The Canadian Ophthalmological Society.
In 2000 Neil helped to launch the Alberta Mediaco branches with Peter Cornforth making his mark on our industry. Currently, as a Regional Vice President of FMAV he is responsible for the general management of the Edmonton office and the delivery of exceptional experiences to FMAV clients across Western Canada.
Mullieka partners with FMAV Regional Vice Presidents and their operations teams to evolve FMAV operations nationally. Through enhancing our systems and processes Mullieka plays a vital role in defining and delivering the FMAV Customer Experience.
A colleague centric, inspirational leader with 20+ years of manufacturing & operations experience in project management, 6 Sigma, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. An innate ability to mobilize individuals to unleash their talent, proactively challenge the status quo and execute necessary business change.
A proven Six Sigma deployment leader with a wide array of expertise in all facets of business. Mulleka is a 6 sigma certified Black belt, 6 sigma Green Belt coach, Lean Six Sigma Black belt (LSSB) and Project management professional (PMP).
Mike oversees FMAV’s largest location, with responsibility for operations and production functions while closely partnering with the direct sales team. Mike has over 30 years of audiovisual industry experience having held senior leadership positions at several industry leading organizations. Most recently, he held the position of Regional Vice President, Venues – Central Canada at PSAV. His breadth of experience in operations, project management and business systems are a valuable asset to FMAV.
