New Year, New Tech: Prevailing Tech at CES 2017 With Joel Reodica
Hello, 2017! Earlier this month we had the pleasure of going to the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Sunny Las Vegas. With a global stage with thousands of exhibitors and almost 200,000 industry professionals in attendance, it seems almost impossible to sift through all noise and find the most up and coming tech on the trade show floor. Luckily, FMAV Solutions Specialist, Joel Reodica was there to do all the dirty work. Here are Joel’s Pro Picks of the most notable technologies from the CES 2017…
1. Connected Vehicles
“It appeared that almost every car company demonstrated their efforts towards autonomous smart vehicles using LiDar and Computer Vision technology to move people and parcels more efficiently and safely.”
“UAV’s, or more commonly known as Drones, are making headlines again with personal drones that can fit in your pocket and take selfies using Follow Me mode, or ones that can fertilize your commercial farming crops, and no need for that selfie stick when attending your next conference!”
3. VR and AR
Depth sensing cameras and motion tracking brings the power to model and scan your dimensional world into a 3D virtual model in the palm of your hands. “New shopping experiences using Tango augmented reality technology is already being developed by Amazon to allow consumers to augment products accurately onto walls and floors in 3D to help when deciding between a 65” or 85” OLED tv in your living room.”
