Custom Designed Pavilion – Vancouver, BC
BMW hired FMAV to design and execute the technical production of their first-ever international media presentation, launching the all-new 2014 X5 model.
The international X5 launch comprised a series of exclusive invitation-only presentations within a custom-built pavilion in downtown Vancouver followed by a driving tour of the Pacific West Coast.
FMAV assumed the role of technical producer and managed all planning, design, installation and operation of the campaign’s audiovisual program, which included some unique challenges.
The geometry of the pavilion itself, with its striking angles was devoid of any vertical projection surface. FMAV innovated a custom solution that brought the austere angled walls to life with dynamic video and immersive lighting.
